A new quilt for Dakota

He is a Big Boy now and has a Bunk Bed in his room. So I went shopping with Angela (my daughter, his Mom)and chose fabric to make him a new quilt and will be making the Valances too (for 3 windows). We saved her a bunch of money tho!!

She found this really cute Train Quilt in a catalog online and emailed the picture to me . Asking if I could copy it for Dakota

This is the picture of it . So cute . I just can't wait to get started . Think I will in the morning as soon as he leaves to go to Aunt Shell's.

We got some plaids and solids too . Found everything at Hobby Lobby .

I plan to make the valances with the train on it also some fabric from the quilt . I think it will be so cute .

He was so excited this week when we brought over the bed . I know he said "Thank You "at least 20 time and kissed the leg of the bed!!!

Can't wait to see the finished quilt! You need to take a picture of Dakota when he first sees it on his bed.

P.S. I'm proud of my big Sis's first blog. You did good!

Great job on BLOGGING!!
I didn't realize it was the late 80's when you started quilting! You gave me my BEAUTIFUL 1st and Travis' adorable baby quilt in 92! AND, not to mention Zachary's precious quilt that matches his bedroom in 2007!

Dakota's room is going to be ADORABLE!! I LOVE that set! Can't wait to see the pics!

I think coping things we see and like is the way to go. Store prices are out of my budget. So I do the same thing;make my own version.

Since we know the arts of construction; as seamstresses, our imagination is our limit.
Love the blog look forward to more.hugs Camille

Good morning! Just checking in on your blog to see what's new. The only thing I see is LuLu's picture. She's so loveable!

I'll be checking back later.
