~ All About My Friday Night Sew-In ~

So it looks like everyone enjoy their Friday Night Sew-In !! I know I sure did. I had the dishes done and my PJ's on ,radio was on my favorite station !! Hey ! I heard there was over 145 people doing the Friday Night Sew In !!
I wanted to share with y'all what I did last night .
This is the String Blocks I made . I managed to get 20 of them done . Pretty please with that number. Its a fast block to make but of course I had prepared the foundation earlier that afternoon so I had that out the way . I had two containers full of scraps . Some just small pieces and some with long strips(strings).
This is what a String Block looks like . I put a black string in the middle of all of them

So now you can see how the black strip makes a square when you put 4 blocks together . I want to try this with other colors .......

So much fun making something from my stash and not having to go out and buy anything !! I will be making more of these block for sure . Last night I was looking at the two plastic containers of scraps and was wondering to myself, 'how many quilts I could make from all of these pieces.' Ha ha!! Would be fun to try and find out ............

Your blocks look fantastic. I'm looking forward to finding out how many quilts you can make now without going fabric shopping. Teehee.

Those blocks look so dramatic with the black. What a great way to use up your scraps....so pretty too.

You'll have to let us all know how many quilts you got from your scrap stash!

These blocks are so neat looking. I love the idea of putting a dark/black string in the middle. I'll have to add this to my list of "to do's" for this new year.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! :) Nice to meet you.
